Mirror laser sandblasting machine is an advanced equipment that uses high-energy laser beams to perform non-contact processing on the surface of glass or mirrors. It uses the energy of the laser to change the physical structure of the surface of glass and mirrors or produce micro-cracks, forming a frosted effect similar to traditional sandblasting.

Main Features

 Core Principle

1. Laser Ablation/Micro-burst:

•The high-energy pulsed laser beam is focused on a very small point on the surface of the glass.

•The laser energy is absorbed by the surface of the glass in a very short time, causing the temperature of the point to rise sharply instantly.

•The glass material is ablated (vaporized) or produces tiny melting and stress under thermal shock, resulting in the removal of surface material or structural changes (amorphous structure is destroyed or microcracks are formed).

•Countless such tiny point-like effects accumulate to form a uniform, matte frosted effect on the glass surface.

 

2. Computer control and galvanometer system:

•The processing pattern is designed by computer software (CAD/CAM).

•The path of the laser beam is precisely controlled by a high-speed galvanometer (scanning galvanometer) system. The galvanometer is a fast-rotating reflector that can guide the laser beam to move at high speed and precision in the X and Y directions, scanning the glass surface according to the preset pattern.

 

3. Non-contact processing:

• The laser beam does not directly contact the glass surface, avoiding mechanical stress, tool wear and contamination problems.

 

Main Functions

• Surface frosting: Process the transparent glass surface into a uniform or uneven frosting effect to achieve light transmission without perspective.
• Fine pattern/text engraving: Carve extremely fine, complex, high-resolution patterns, text, logos, barcodes, QR codes, etc. on the glass surface.
• Drilling and milling: By controlling the energy density and scanning speed of the laser, drilling of glass and mirrors can be achieved.
• Mirror film removal: Laser removes the reflective layer of the mirror to form various patterns.
